Life in Holland continues to be difficult for Liberian striker Seku Conneh, whose club FC Oss were again on the losing side on Friday night. The defeat came after a humiliating 4-0 home defeat at the hands of FC Eindhoven in continuation of the 2015 Netherlands second tier Eerste Divisie.
Seku Conneh joined FC Oss during the summer transfer of 2015 after a season with Fortuna Sittard. The defeat sinks Oss to 18th place on a 19 team log. The 19-year-old striker has scored once from playing in six league games so far this season.
In South Africa, Liberian international striker Kpah Sean Sherman had to wait 82 minutes into the game to make his official debut for his new club Mpumalanga Black Aces.
The Liberian front man replaced Zambian striker Collins Ntofontofo Mbesuma. However, his introduction into the game did not help the Aces ascend to the top of the Premier Soccer League after an entertaining 1-1 draw away at giants Orlando Pirates.
The Pirates took the lead in the 21st minute from defender Mpho Makola’s effort, but the Aces leveled things at the stoppage time of the first half with Mbesuma’s help. The draw puts the Aces in fifth place with eight points after four games.
In Asia, midfielder Zah Raham Krangar of Malaysia Super League side Felda United played to an entertaining 1-1 away at Kelantan. The match was a continuation of the 2015 Malaysia Cup. The draw earned Felda a point for a total of four points, enough for second place in Group C. Kelantan leads the group.
Elsewhere in Turkey, injured Tonia Tisdell again had to watch and celebrate his club Osmanlispor’s second victory in the Turkish Süper Lig. Osmanlispor enjoyed an easy 4-0 victory away at Mersin İdmanyurdu. The win gives Osmanlispor eight points from five games and keeps the team at fifth place on the league table.
