Because so many of our people live in poverty, they are continually occupied with survival issues—money for school fees, food for today, rent for next month, etc, leaving little or no time to think deeply about big national issues.
Liberia’s Youth Unemployment Problem
This is an excerpt from a thesis conducted from September 2013 – April 2014. The thesis examined the causes for the high youth unemployment rate, the government’s response and various policies and employment schemes implemented to address the problem and made recommendations about possible solutions to increase the youth capacity and employability.
