Terrence Tisdell Completes Costa do Sol Move

MONROVIA, Montserrado – Just less than three months after completing a shocking move to Liberia first division and FA Cup champions, Liberia international player, Terrence Tisdell has completed a move to Mozambican top-flight club, Costa do Sol.

The former FC Fassell star player joins the Mozambican cub on a two-year loan deal from LISCR FC. LISCR confirmed the deal via Twitter over the weekend saying, “We are delighted to announce that we’ve agreed on a deal with Mozambican top-flight club, Costa dol Sol for a two-year loan deal of Terrence Tisdell. We wish him good luck in his new home.”

In an effort to defend their First Division and FA Cup titles and to accomplish their dreams of reaching the group stage of the 2018 CAF Champions League, LISCR acquired the services of Tisdell, who has been on the international scene at both club and country level.

Tisdell was one of the key players on LISCR’s 10 recruits for the new season. With his experience playing on the wings, it was no doubt a great addition for LISCR, which is hoping to improve on their goal scoring ratio in the upcoming season. However, Tisdell did not make a single appearance for the Shipping Boys.

While acknowledging LISCR for signing him before the opportunity to Mozambique came his way, Tisdell said he believes it’s time he takes on new challenges outside Liberia.

“It’s every footballer prayer to seek big challenges in a different environment. Ever since I started playing football, I have prayed for this opportunity,” he told The Bush Chicken in an interview. “FC Fassell had been good to me. They helped develop my career. Even LISCR that I just signed for, they have done extremely well. I just joined the club about two months ago and they have given me the opportunity to join Costa do Sol. It was a very difficult decision, but they did it to help my career. I’m truly grateful to them. It’s about time I face new challenges, especially in foreign land.”

The 19-year-old had some praises for GlobaGroup-11, the agency that helped him seal the move.

Tisdell leaving LICSR to join Costa do Sol means he won’t be able to participate in Africa’s biggest club competition, the CAF Champions League in which LISCR will be playing against Sudanese Premier League giant, AL-Hilal. However, he’ll still have the chance to taste continental football with Costa do Sol, which will be playing in Africa’s second-tier club competition, the CAF Confederations Cup. The Mozambican side will face Jwaneng Galaxy Football Club of Botswana.

Since he became influential on the pitch, Tisdell has had the opportunity to play outside Liberia with European clubs, but those talks have always broken down. His recent trial was on a top European side in August 2016 when he was given weeks of trial by Norwegian top club Molde FK.
