Zah Krangar and Forkey Doe Bow to Eric Weeks

Liberian international Eric Weeks of Perak FA won his second victory in the ongoing Malaysian Superleague with an emphatic 3-2 win over Felda United, the club team of fellow Liberians, Zah Krangar, and Francis Forkey Doe.

Perak has been struggling to win in the Superleague, with just two wins from nine league matches. Their only success so far this season has been in the Malaysia FA Cup where they managed to reach the semifinals of the competition.

In a contested Superleague match, Perak took the lead in the 12th minute through Malaysian forward Muhammad Firdaus Saiyadi before Liberian striker Francis Forkey Doe leveled the score for Felda in the 23rd minute.

Ten minutes after leveling the score, Doe again fired the back of the net, as Felda took the lead and went to the first half break as the winning side.

Back from the first half break, Perak tried leveling the score with several attacks in the opening ten minutes, but he had to wait until the 76th minute to get a much-needed equalizer through Elias Fernandes.

With the score at 2-2, Perak controlled the match and snatched the match winner in the 80th minute through Elias Fernandes, who got his second goal of the match.

Despite the defeat, Felda remains on top of the League table with 21 points while Perak ascended to the eighth position with ten points.

Doe’s double against Perak increased his goals to seven. He is now level with compatriot, Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh.
