Thief Caught Between Bars

MONROVIA, Montserrado – A man believed to be in his 20s was caught early Monday morning stuck between the window bars of the budget office at the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy.

The Ministry of Lands Mines and Energy is located on the Capitol Hill in Monrovia.

The alleged thief, who refuse to identify himself, said he became stuck between the iron bars on Sunday afternoon while attempting to steal. He did not reveal how exactly he became stuck between the bars when questioned by The Bush Chicken.

The scene created a stir at the office and brought normal working activities to a standstill until the police arrived at 9 a.m. The police used a saw to break the window bars to extract the culprit for investigation.

Officials at the Lands, Mines and Energy have not made any statements as they await the police investigation.

Meanwhile, officials have revealed that they will increase security at the ministry in order to secure other offices.
