Keith Nah Extends Yadanarbon Stay

Myanmar-based Liberian forward Keith Nah has committed to the league club Yadanarbon FC by signing a one-year contract extension. The new contract will keep Nah at Yadanarbon until November 2016.

The 20-year-old signed from the Malaysia Premier League club Kedah FA in June 2015. Despite joining Yadanarbon during the second phase of the Myanmar league season, Nah managed to score 17 goals in 13 games.

Nah paid tribute to the Yadanarbon head coach René Desaeyere after signing his new deal. He added that there was much speculation, but “I was pleased when René brought me in.” Further, he said he had an excellent relationship with Desaeyere, who has shown much trust and faith in him.

“This is one of the best clubs in Myanmar and to know that I will be playing here for one more year is something that I am looking forward to. I am happy that everything is now finalised, and I can carry on concentrating on my football,” he added.

Nah says now that he is a senior player, he has a chance to help the club’s younger players.

“I am really excited to be a part of the club’s future and want to thank [the fans] for their belief and support in me. I am convinced that this is the start of another successful chapter in Yadanarbon’s history,” Nah told The Bush Chicken.

Born July 20, 1995, Nah began his soccer career with club Vinton Professional, playing in the Liberian third division league. After playing few seasons with Vinton, the young Nah, who had a sharp eye for the goal, made big contributions and helped his club gain promotion to Liberia’s second division league. His thirst for goal and skilful tactics continued as he helped Vinton to finish as first runner-up to the league winners Green Pasture FC. He won himself the second division Most Valuable Player award.
