MONROVIA, Montserrado – Afro-Pop lovers, look no further! Quincy B. has officially become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
Liberia’s “Wonda Boy†held a single release party for his new song “Crazy†on Saturday, June 13 in Monrovia, Liberia. The event took place at the upscale rooftop hotspot in Sinkor, Sky Bar, and was hosted by Chris Wolo, Producer at UNMIL Radio.
Sky Bar was the perfect backdrop for these up-and-coming artists who rocked the night away in front of the packed house of Industry folks and Liberian trendsetters.
This performance was the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal to the music of a rising star. And honestly, those are my favorite kind of shows: the ones where the experience is still stripped down, fresh, and enlightening — all taking place just before the launch of something amazing.
The event was presented by one of Liberia’s top promoters, Marjean Sherman of Jeanie International Productions, and Quincy B’s manager, Lewiz McCarthy.
Along with Quincy B, singers Eric Geso, Cassi Money, Young Classic, Chilla Conani and Kzee took the stage with their own entertaining performances. Takun J, DJ Nelly, DJ Theo and other people in the music industry were in attendance to support.
The stand-out performer, of course, was the headliner Quincy B, who closed out the night with his hit new single “Crazy.† The ladies stormed the stage to dance to Quincy B’s youthful and fun sound that is guaranteed to put you in a party mood. He also performed his radio hits “Tumba Baba†and “Shawty Bad.â€
Quincy B is a young Liberian that started his music career in the church choir. John Legend, Neyo, and Ryan Leslie are some of his idols in the music industry today. Liberian music producer, Infectious Michael started Quincy B’s Afro-pop music career and took him under his wing. Infectious Michael helped Quincy B develop his natural talent and prepared him for success.
His new song “Crazy†portrays Quincy falling in love with a girl and he expressing it through music.
