GANTA, Nimba – The president of the Liberia International Christian College in Ganta has disclosed plans to bring the college’s educational standard in line with other institutions in Liberia.
Speaking to reporters at the LICC campus in the Royal Community, Sei Bour said his administration has decided to run the college on par with other colleges in the country.
Bour said in order to make the college competitive with counterparts like Cuttington University or the University of Liberia, LICC must offer credits that can be accepted at any of those universities.
“One of the things we have done so far is to take a survey in other universities in Liberia,” Bour said. “We are aware of the course guidelines and the credits offered. That’s exactly the same standards we will be applying in our institution so that, if a student leaves from here with his or her AA degree, the credit can be accepted in the university he or she wants to enter.â€
The LICC president made the comments following a student leadership ceremony that was held on the campus of the college in Ganta over the weekend. The institution is largely supported by members of the United Liberian Inland Mission Church of Liberia.
