Scenes From the Friday Ashmun Street Riot

MONROVIA, Montserrado – On Friday, May 12, protestors, mainly students from nearby universities, gathered in front of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to call for the resignation of Commerce Minister Axel Addy.

The protestors say they were calling for the minister’s resignation in light of the substandard goods allowed to be sold on the local market.

Below are scenes captured from the protest.
