Sinoe’s Rep. J. Nagbe Sloh Reported Dead at JFK

GREENVILLE, Sinoe – A family member of the second district representative of Sinoe, J. Nagbe Sloh, says the lawmaker has passed away in Monrovia at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Medical Center.

Although the cause of the death has not yet been established, Sam Wesseh told The Bush Chicken that the death of the late representative occurred between 9-10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

“The honorable man was not well and was admitted at JFK and this evening, he was pronounced dead,” Wesseh explained.

The news of Sloh’s death comes as a surprise to many in Sinoe, as there were no recent reports of him being sick. In late April this year, the representative was in Sinoe creating awareness about COVID-19 in his district and distributing preventative materials. That was his last visit to Sinoe before he died.

Sloh was elected in 2017; a by-election to replace him might likely be scheduled by the National Elections Commission to coincide with the senatorial elections expected to take place in December this year.
