Liberian international football player Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh said he has his sights set on creating history with PKNS FC and wants to start by winning the ongoing Malaysia Cup.
Wleh made a stunning start to his career at PKNS with 21 goals from 31 games in his first season, immediately endearing him to PKNS fans.
Although he has scored only once from five games in the tournament, he has contributed immensely through assists. The towering striker has assisted four times in the competition.
With one game remaining in the group stage, PKNS is seated second in Group D with eight points from the five games, just a single point behind table toppers Pahang. A draw in their final match would see them enter the quarter-finals of the competition.
Wleh firmly believes there are promising times ahead for the Red Ants, as PKNS is also called. He hopes to be at the heart of any future successes.
“This is one of the best clubs in the Premier League now,” he said in a statement on the PKNS official website. “Some amazing players have passed through here, and I want to follow in their footsteps and make history with PKNS.”
Wleh continued, “I feel good. Our target is to win the Malaysia Cup. We missed the chance of qualifying to the Super League earlier this year, and we want to win this competition to put smiles back on the faces of our fans. I know it’s not an easy journey but with togetherness and hard work, I believe we can do it.”
