On March 3, 2017, Liberian R & B star singer, Quincy L. Borrow, nicknamed Quincy B, died from a car accident, on his way from a KARAOKE night, in Monrovia, Liberia. The artist was pulled out of the damaged vehicle and rush to the JFK Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Along with Quincy B involved in the accident were fellow artists Maurice Terziq Gayflor, nicknamed CIC, Margas Bimba and Feouls Kaba. CIC legs got broken in the accident while there were no injuries for both Margas Bimba and Feouls Kaba.

When my business partner and first I started doing “The Vagina Monologues” in Liberia in 2011, we received a lot of backlash. The play is a series of monologues that deal with topics related to the feminine experience including sex, menstruation, rape, masturbation, among other things. In the vitriolic responses from critics, we were accused of negatively portraying women and trying to bring Western views to Liberia and to expose people to vulgarity.
