Kpah Sherman might have lost his scoring form since he departed Northern Cyprus’ top league club SpoÇetinkaya Türk r Kulübü, but it seems like the 24-year-old striker has rediscovered his form following his loan to Santos Football Club, the South African first division team.
Sherman excelled in his debut Friday, February 5, as Santos earned a 4-0 victory away at Cape Town All Stars.
The Liberian front man registered his name on the scoresheet and provided an assist as Santos got its first win in 2016.
After some brilliant displays in the opening minutes, Santos were ahead on 18 minutes through Carl Lark who headed in a cross from Sherman.
The lead was doubled five minutes later when Sherman struck with a volley.
A powerful strike from a free kick by South African Suhayl Allie in first half added more to give Santos a 3-0 first half lead.
Cape Town was close to getting a goal back in the 75th minute, but Rodwell Bezuidenhout’s free kick struck the woodwork.
With five minutes remaining for the sound of the final whistle, Santos scored a fourth goal through Devin Saal, who struck from 35 yards.
The victory took Santos to tenth place on the first division table with 21 points from 18 games.
