Selangor striker Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh has warned his side that they need to get back to start winning again or face being left behind in the Super League title race.
The “Red Giants,” as Selangor is nicknamed, has dropped to fourth in the Super League following poor performances in recent matches.
“We need to go on a good run and now would be perfect for the upcoming fixtures against T-Team and Kelantan,†he told The Bush Chicken.
He added, “We’ve got good players here who are hopefully prepared to rise to the challenge.”
Selangor’s poor league form started when the team was beaten at Felda United, despite a win over Pulau Pinang. They were held to a scoreless draw by Royal Malaysia Police Association Football Club in their last league fixture.
Selangor is now seated fourth on the league table with fifteen points, six points behind both first and second place Felda United and Johor, and level on points with T-Team that sits third.
Wleh said there was still a chance to finish strong, adding, “It’s not a crisis at all at the moment.â€
