Pure as in white, carries the peace we bear

At night it shines brightly above the clouds.
As we forget not the lives of those great men and women who died defending our heritage
From the lakes of Maryland
To the hills of Bomi
Across the seas of Bassa
We waved our flags of freedom.
From the mountains of Nimba
To the coast of Montserrado
Across the River Cestos
We celebrate our independence.
From low lands to mountain tops
From rivers to oceans
We’ve come thus far
With faith and action, we’ll move our nation.
