MONROVIA, Montserrado – A musical cadre at the Monrovia Football Academy, Lonestar Legends, has released two debut songs.
According to a press release issued by the Monrovia Football Academy, the trio – 14-year-old Leon Crawford, 13-year-old William Zorr, and 14-year-old Ali Syllah – are students of LEAD Africa’s Monrovia Football Academy.
“Lonestar Legends represent Liberia’s next generation of students, musicians, and leaders,†the organization wrote.
Their songs, ‘Story to Glory’ and ‘Alpha & Omega,’ were officially released at a live debut performance during the close of the academy’s 2019 Orange Liberia sponsored National Football Competition.
Monrovia Football Academy, where trio discovered their music passion after enrolling in 2015, says it is the first school in Liberia to combine high-quality education with professional football training.
Zorr, the group’s principal writer, became inspired to create his own music during a music class at the academy.
“The boys are poised to be Liberia’s next top artists,†the school proclaimed.
