Sam Jadoe Wants to Stay With LISCR FC

MONROVIA, Montserrado — Sam Jadoe has ended any speculation that he could leave LISCR FC after this season. He hopes to sign a new long-term deal with the first division club.

The attacking midfielder is making final preparations for the 2015-2016 league season and has expressed his desire to work with new LISCR coach Robert Lartey.

Jadoe, who was on loan from second division side Gardnesville FC, played a significant role in the LISCR team that lost to Nimba United in the 2014-2015 first division championship final.

Jadoe told The Bush Chicken he initially did not want to accept LISCR’s new offer despite having much love for the club. He made it clear that this contract extension is only because of the intervention of newly appointed head coach Lartey.

“To be honest I love LISCR and don’t want to play for a different club now in Liberia. I just don’t want to play for a team because of money, but rather I want to be in a team I love. My contract with LISCR is over, and now I’m a free agent. I have the right to decide to play for any club in and out of Liberia. My desire is to play for LISCR again. The only problem was the club didn’t want to meet my demands.”

“Though Barrack Young Controller has expressed interest… I have already talked to Robert Lartey. He wants me in the club. He called me on the phone and visited me on several occasions. I look at him as my father, and I have a lot of respect for him. Only because of his intervention, I will extend my contract,” Jadoe said.

Born July 7, 1994, Jadoe started his footballing career with a fourth division club, Eleven Trouble Maker FC in 2003. After just a single season with the club, he moved to third division side, Royal Star. His performance at Royal Star caught the attention of top Liberian clubs who had an interest in his signature, but it was then premier league club United Soccer Ambassador, who captured the young attacking midfielder in 2010.

At the USA, he played just a half season and was offered a trial by Gambian division one club Willandan Football Club. Things did not materialise in Gambia and Jadoe returned to Liberia in 2011.

Upon his arrival, Sam joined the Liberian second division club Gardnesville FC on a four-year deal. His hard work and dedication on the pitch helped him burst into Gardnesville first team where he became a key player to the team. After just a single season, his fast attacking skills did not go unnoticed as several top clubs were after his services. However, he decided to stay at Gardnesville to improve his talent.

After two seasons at Gardnesville, he was loaned to Liberia’s oldest football club, Invincible Eleven in 2013.

At the end of the 2013-2014 league season, IE expressed interest in making the loan a permanent one but an agreement with Gardnesville failed, and Jadoe was loaned out to two-time Liberia Premier League champions, LISCR.

At LISCR, he played a major role throughout the season, helping LISCR to emerge as winners of the Group A in the first division but later lost to Nimba United in the championship final.
