Terrence Tisdell Wins Three Points for Costa do Sol

Terrence Tisdell was the hero in Mozambique over the weekend in his side’s narrow win in the preliminary round of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers.

The on-loan LISCR FC attacker scored the only goal over Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy Football Club to send Costa dol Sol to the return leg with a lead.

In a very competitive match at the Estadio do Costa do Sol, which saw both teams going to the break goalless, it was Costa do Sol that left the pitch after the full 90 minutes with all the three points due to Tisdell’s lone goal separating the two teams.

The goal was his second official goal for the club in less than a week. Tisdell scored once in Costa do Sol’s triumph over Uniao Desportiva do Songo in the 2018 Mozambique Super Cup.

The fast winger has vowed to continue working harder to produce the best performances. He told The Bush Chicken it is his wish to finish as the Mozambican league’s top goal scorer and best player.

“I came here for a mission and I need to complete the mission. The league season is just ahead and I’m fully concentrating on it,” he said. “I have a target of finishing the league season as the top scorer and the best player. It requires a lot of work and I’m ready for it because I want to be better than I am.”

Tisdell and his teammates departed Mozambique for Botswana to honor the return leg against Jwaneng Galaxy. The match will be played on Wednesday, February 21.
