The Liberia Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Authority has disclosed that close to US$1 million of equipment were destroyed during the fire that gutted a laboratory and warehouse of the National Drug Service on May 30.
After making assurances to continue distributing essential drugs to health facilities despite the recent fire at the National Drug Service warehouse, the agency says it will begin airlifting drugs to locations across the country.
On Tuesday night, May 30, fire gutted the building that hosted the laboratory and medical supplies warehouse of the National Drug Service located in the compound of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Sinkor.
